SAAC Treatment Team

BACK on TRACK is the theme of the SAAC Treatment Team.

General Purpose Statement:

to remove barriers to the treatment of substance abuse disorders in Lancaster County. 

Measurable Objectives: 

The Treatment Team has identified the following four objectives:

• to reduce the stigma of substance abuse and treatment
  
• to increase early interventions
  
• to increase treatment capacity by decreasing financial barriers
  
• to increase timely access to quality treatment

Funding Sources: 

The Treatment Team was kick started with a Robert Woods Johnson Grant in the amount of $60,000.  It helped to develop the team, the vision, and its goals and objectives.  It linked us closely with the Join Together national initiative. We also received $9450 from the Community Health Endowment for a study called Triple Play. This year we are preparing to submit a significant grant request for $300,000 for each of 3 years  to RWJ  for Advancing Recovery.
